New
Delhi, June 11, 2024: The Industrial Devices
Division (INDD) of Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), a leading
diversified technology company introduced the industry's first* commercialized
AI-equipped servo system MINAS A7 servo system, along with the MINAS CZ1 Global and MINAS A6SC series Servo Motors for
Indian OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). The state-of-the-art servo systems
have been engineered to optimize the manufacturing output with superior motion performance,
high-precision control, and efficiency, leveraging cutting-edge technology.
Narayan
Kumar, Divisional Director, Industrial Devices Division (INDD), PLSIND said, “The
technology for automating servo motor tuning has been evolving over the years.
Despite this progress conventional automatic tuning methods were strained to
deliver satisfactory results. Especially for equipment that seek ultra-precise positioning
in the field of semiconductor manufacturing, electronic components mounting
machines, machine tools, industrial robots to name a few. The newly introduced servo
system solutions leverage advanced technology to automate the precise tuning
process that was once only possible through expert human intervention. For
instance, MINAS A7 equipped with precAIse TUNING (AI-based automated tuning) offers
ultraprecise positioning accuracy through simple initial settings. Similarly, all
three servo systems have been designed to enhance productivity of machines,
people, and applications by adapting quickly and intuitively. Designed to meet the evolving needs of Indian
manufacturing industry these servo system solutions reflect Industrial Devices
Division’s commitment to India’s industrial automation and thus, helping
enterprises in their digital transformation journey.”
The MINAS A7 Servo motors are
designed with advanced technology, equipped with AI that automates precise
tuning, previously only achievable by human experts. These servo motors deliver
the industry's highest motion performance standards, with key features including
the industry's first AI-equipped servo system. Utilizing Panasonic's
proprietary precAIse TUNING technology, these motors perform precise automatic
tuning, reducing operation time* by 90% compared to manual tuning by experts.
Additionally,
the MINAS A7 system delivers in an unmatched motion performance, offering a
speed response frequency of 4.0 kHz and an encoder resolution of 27 bits
(134,217,728 pulses/rotation), setting new benchmarks for positioning and
processing accuracy. Enhanced energy-saving capabilities contribute to reduced
operational costs and environmental impact, while a compact and robust design
makes these motors smaller and lighter than previous models, ideal for
installations across limited space while maintaining high performance.
MINAS
CZ1 Global and MINAS A6SC Servo Motors
Designed
for India, MINAS CZ1 and MINAS A6SC series provide versatile and high-functional
solutions for various industrial applications.
The
MINAS CZ1 series delivers exceptional performance and advanced
functionality, positioning it as the ideal solution for complex automation
systems. Key features include a response frequency of 3200 Hz and support for
EtherCAT, which enables high-speed (100 Mbps) communication, facilitating
seamless integration and synchronized operations. The series is equipped with
real-time automatic adjustment and various vibration control filters to ensure
optimal performance. System upgrades can be performed via various slaves,
enhancing system flexibility. Additionally, the series allows the construction
of PC-based systems without the need for dedicated hardware, providing greater
versatility.
Meanwhile,
MINAS A6SC servo motor series deliver high-performance and high
functionality across diverse applications. Suitable for both light-duty and
high-power operations, it supports a wide range of power ratings and form
factors. The motor offers a 3.2 kHz response frequency, pulse direction, and
multiple vibration control filters, along with advanced functionalities like
fit gain setting, two-degree-of-freedom control, adaptive load control,
friction torque compensation, and manual/auto damping filters for optimal
precision and efficiency.
