VMware Wins Big at Zinnov Awards 2020

VMware,  a leading innovator in enterprise software, has won awards in two categories at the Zinnov Awards 2020 - Building a Culture of Intrapreneurial Leadership and Inclusion and Diversity.  The 11th edition of Zinnov Awards was focussed on the agents of change in 2020. This year, the awards showcased individuals and teams who overcome adversity, and beat the odds to be successful.

This is a prestigious win for VMware in the category of Building a Culture of Intrapreneurial Leadership. It recognizes Global Centers of Excellence (GCoEs) and Intrapreneurial Leaders from India centers who drive a strong leadership philosophy with allied programs that identify and develop leaders to deliver key business outcomes. The Inclusion and Diversity award recognizes organizations that have established programs and are the gold standards for Inclusion and Diversity in India.

Commenting on the recognition, Ramkumar Narayanan, Vice President - Technology & Managing Director, VMware India, said, “As innovation leaders, we aim to nurture an organization culture where curiosity meets execution, thereby building technologies that impact the future.  With a firm focus on innovating in everything we do, we enable everyone within our organization, across all functions, to demonstrate intrapreneurship, irrespective of their current roles and responsibilities. Our programs and initiatives are carefully designed to provide seamless support at each stage of the intrapreneurial journey to encourage systematic innovation. The Zinnov award for Building a Culture of Intrapreneurial Leadership is testimony to our strong focus on inculcating a best in class work culture to establish VMware India as a global innovation hub.”

“Our organization ethos is based on true inclusivity that allows every individual to bring their best self to work. VMinclusion is our business-led initiative that focuses on creating and enabling an inclusiveculture at VMware. We aim to increase the representation of women and underrepresented groups so as to better reflect the communities we live in and serve. In a bid to rebalance the gender gap in the technology sector, we launched VMinclusion Taara, a unique return to work program that aims to help 15,000 women restart their careers by providing them free technical education on the latest digital technologies. We are excited to receive the award for Inclusion and Diversity in India from Zinnov. It is not only a emphatic recognition of our efforts but also a significant motivating factor for us to do more to drive true inclusivity within the industry,” said Anita Vijaykrishnan, VP – IT, VMware India.
