YuviPep's Top Inventors and Their Groundbreaking
Inventions
Saanvi N, a seventh-grade student, has developed an
innovative image-processing project to detect brain tumours. She trained a
system capable of identifying tumours from MRI images using machine learning.
Nisarga GP, a fifth-grade student, has created an application
using MIT App Inventor. The application is centred around the concept of making
learning enjoyable. It poses questions to users and assigns a score based on
their answers. This gamified approach aims to engage students in the learning
process.
Abhijay Krishna, in the seventh grade, drew inspiration from
a nearby theft incident. He devised an anti-theft system utilising a PIR sensor
to alert individuals inside a home if any human movement is detected.
Reet Agiwal, a grade five student, introduced the
concept of an automatic medicine dispenser. This innovative device dispenses
medicine and notifies users about the specific medicines to consume at proper
intervals. This project holds great potential for aiding in organised
medication routines.
Jaswin Baweja's project focuses on an intelligent irrigation
system. This eleventh-grader’s invention autonomously detects soil moisture
levels and activates the water pump as needed. Additionally, it features a
remote-control function, allowing users to manage the device from any location
worldwide.
Pranika Mor, part of YuviPep’s INB-5 batch and a sixth
grader, has introduced an innovative safety measure for construction sites. She
proposed the implementation of scaffolding equipped with an IR sensor. This
sensor is designed to detect falling objects and promptly alert workers,
mitigating the risk of accidents.
Lasya V.K., another student, has developed a Fall
Detection and Protection device tailored for the elderly. Utilising
accelerometers and gyroscopes, the wearable devices can identify when the
wearer is falling and trigger SOS notifications to a pre-registered number.
Lasya is also exploring integrating a mechanical system, akin to an airbag, to
deploy and protect the individual during a fall.
